Feelings!
I have been so curious lately. I always thought that you were more tired in the first trimester of pregnancy and you were supposed to get more energy in the 2nd trimester? I however have less energy that I thought I was going to have. I seem to be finding myself wanted to take several naps during the day, going to bed earlier than usual and not wanting to get up in the morning. I have a hard time staying focused at work and tend to feel my eyes getting heavy during my work day.
Is this normal or is there something wrong with me? Am I getting Pre-delivery depression is that possible or am I just losing energy because of Cupcake taking it all to have her parties LOL!
I find myself going home from work and not wanting to do anything but sit on the couch and watch T.V. Yesterday I did get some laundry done and organize several baby items that I have already received. ( I am trying to stay on top of this so that I am prepared).

Car
I wanted to write down my feelings about my car.
I bought my 2005 Dodge Stratus in April of 2006 and my aunt nicely cosigned a loan for me and I was scared to death that I was going to disappoint her and not be able to make the payments and my car was going to get taken away from me. But I concentrated and made sure that my car payments came first before anything else. Then in March of 2008, my father in law had told me about this great deal with the credit union he belonged to, if I refinaced my car I could get a really low interest rate and it was much lower than the one I had now. So I looked into it and found out that if I paid about the same amount I could pay the car off in 3 years instead of 7 years with the new interest rate. So I figured it was a no brainer.
So I inquired to see if I could get approved for the loan myself to relieve my aunt of the responsiblilty of having to be a co-signer, and I did get approved without a cosigner I was so happy. So then I started dumping most of my paychecks into the car.
Finally after only 3 years of owning the car I have finally paid the car off. As of 5-22-2009 the car is officially mine (well and elijah's if you want to get techinical). I will receive the title in 2 weeks.

Baby Cupcake 12th week!
I have just entered my 12th week of my pregnancy. That means only a few more days of those lovely suppositories. I am also happy because so far no problems have occured. The morning sickness is starting to subside a little. I mean I can eat my lunch and my dinner with no problems. Breakfast is a little tricky still but hey I can't complain at least I can eat 2 decent meals.
Some foods still make me feel ill but overall I am happy to be able to keep food down. I am getting sick of water and I need juice and I am just having withdrawls from my pop when we go out to dinner and I still have several months left to wait. Oh well it will be worth it in the end!
I want to thank everyone that has been praying for me about Baby Cupcake and please continue.

5-08-2009 Appointment Update!
Well elijah and I went to our appointment and the doctor did the physical exam and such. Then she was using the doppler to find the heartbeat and could not, so she wheeled in the portable sonogram machine just to make sure everything was ok.
When she located Baby cupcake, he/she was dancing all around like and crazy kid, however the heartbeat was still there and strong. So the doctor was thinking it may have been too early or because the baby was moving so much that could have been why as well.
But everything is just fine with Cupcake and I was so happy and amazed to see Cupcake moving around, it was so amazing. I still can not get that image out of my head.
Well elijah and I want to thank you for all your prayers at this point, and we want to ask that you continue to pray for Cupcake and us as well.

update from 4-24-09 appt.
Like I promised I am going to keep you updated on my blog with the status of Baby Cupcake. So my last appointment was on 4-24-2009. When I first arrived they did an Ultrasound and elijah and I got to see our little cupcake (which only looked like a jelly bean) and then we could immediatley see the little flickering heartbeat, It was so amazing. So after the technician checked out things to make sure they were ok, which she loved everything she saw. We got to hear the hearbeat through the ultrasound it was 178 BPM. Then we got our first picture (which I will upload later). Then we waited for the RN to come do the intake appointment, which took forever. So I had to repeat all the blood work (they said it would be cheaper to do it that way), and then we were on our way.
My next appointment is 5-8-2009 @3:15pm for the physical exam appointment. Hopefully at that appointment we will get to hear the heartbeat through the doppler machine. I am excited and can't wait.

MacCabe Family Update!!
We haven't Told Many People Yet!!
Story of the MacCabe Addition!
Well as most of you now, I have recently had a miscarriage and it was a very traumatic and emotional experience for me! I was starting to get over it by cleaning out all the of baby paperwork I had received from all of my appointments and putting the things I could not part with into a shoe box in the closet so I would not have to look at it unless I wanted to. I don’t think I will ever be completely over it, because it is an experience I do not want to forget, but I have learn so much from it that I feel I am able to be over it enough to deal with it and move on with my life.
I want to thank all of you for all of your prayers to help me get through this and the prayers have helped a lot along with all of the support from other ladies who have experienced the same thing at some point in their life.
So after my D & C I thought that would be a good time to start charting my menstrual cycle so I could figure out my cycle length and when I am ovulating and such, so when we were ready to try again it would be easier for us. I was actually surprised to see that January and February were like clock work because they have not been for some time now and that made me happy. So I figured out what the cycle length was for January and February, so I counted to see when I should expect my March one and I didn’t come on the day I had thought, so I was like “well maybe I miss counted and the months are off” I will wait a couple more days to see what happens. So 4 days went by and then I started feeling off and not like normal so I decided to go to the store and pick up some pregnancy tests just for the heck of it to see.
So the next morning I took the test not expecting anything to come out of it I just wanted to know and at first there was only one line when I look so I was like ok that is fine and then I got dressed and looked 1 minute later and there were 2 lines I was like no way that is not possible. I started taking prenatal vitamins at that point just in case because I wanted to take them ASAP. So I once again took it to show Elijah and then we went and took a different brand. A digital one this time which was really cool it shows pregnant or not pregnant. So I took it and waited and it said “Pregnant” I was excited but very nervous at that point.
So off to work I went and I called the Ob-gyn’s office and made an appointment and expressed my concern and they told me they wanted to go get blood work to check my HCG level and my Progesterone level. So the blood work came back and I was in fact pregnant and my progesterone level was good, but not exactly where they wanted to see it. So they wanted to repeat my blood work 4 days later to see if the levels doubled like they should have. Well, my HCG hormone doubled but my progesterone level went down, so they put me on a progesterone suppository. Then they wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure everything was going ok. So April 3, 2009 I went to the office and had my first ultrasound and the technician said that everything she is seeing looks good and that she is not surprised that she isn’t seeing the baby or the heartbeat because I am calculated to be only 5 weeks and that is normal. So then I met with the doctor and she wants to repeat the ultrasound at my first appointment which is scheduled for April 24th, which at that point I will be 8 weeks and should be able to detect the heartbeat.
